Wow What a week we had last week -Battle wounds from the tomatoe plant ( i know they look gross sorry)

where to start? Just little update on what this year has been like, Richard (my husband in case anyone doesn't know who i am married to) has had 2 major surgeries this year and was off work for almost 4 months first surgery was May 1st they took out 4 inches of his large intestines and did an ileostomy for those who don't know what this is it is where they take your small intestines and poke it through you stomach by your belly button and then you have to wear a bag around it and this is where your poop goes - this was so nothing would go through his large intestines while it was healing. He had to wear this bag for 2 months it was quite interesting to learn about and how to deal with it. July 3rd he had his 2nd surgery this was called the "take down" the reversed the ileostomy reconnected his small intestines to his large intestines in hopes that all would be well and that they would function normal. Yes we spent our 4th of July in the University of Utah hospital and the hampton inn where i stayed. well things got to working and we were able to bring him home July 7th. two weeks after that he was back to work (yea) for about 4 weeks then it was back to the ER with major stomach cramps and throwing up well of course you can imagine what went through my mind with all that has happened this summer, come to find out it was pancreatitis he was in the hospital for 5 days while he was in the hospital I was on my out of the house to visit him and had some stuff in a sack to take to him, I thought i would pick of few tomatoes before i left - you have to step over a 12 to 14 inch metal fence to get to the tomatoe plant in order to pick them so i had one hand holding the sack of items i was takeing to Richard and stepped up and leaned over at the same time - my sandle got caught on the little metel fence I lost my balance and down i went head first into the tomatoe plant ( yes the plant is ok ) I felt like a cow in a field with its leg caught in a barb wire fence I couldn't move my leg to get up so i told my self i had to do what ever it took to get my self out of this perdicament so i stood up and yanked my leg out of the fence - i ended up having to go to the ER and they glued the bottom wound and just did the normal neosporin and band aide to the top one but i did have to have a Tetanus shot yuck i hate needles. Richard was in his room just down from the ER when i got there so he came down to visit me while they were cleaning me up and glueing me. 2 ER visits in one week good thing our deductible has been meet this year. I know the pictures are gross but i had to post them anyway please ignore the spider veins and anything else you see besides the battle wounds with the tomatoe plant. I am also posting pics of my husband for what trooper he has been this summer and all that he has endured. oh and P.S. I want to tell my family and Richards family how much I love them and thank you all for supporting us during this time of need. Love ya all!!!

Just think- You have had all of your trials at once and now you can go on with a worry-free life.

Good grief! I had no idea that Richard had gone to the hospital for pancreatitis. And then your leg! Just crazy! And I thought Keith and I had it rough! Enough is enough. On to better times!
