Update on Richard

I am not sure if i had told everyone about Richards MRI results - there was nothing there so in some ways this is good in another way it is not good i was hoping they would see something that they could go in and fix, but apparently they can not find anything wrong of why he keeps having these pancreaitis attacks. So they told us to really watch what he eats, go on a low fat / high fiber diet. we have been eating alot of fish and chicken trying to keep our diet low fat. in the mornings we make a shake that consists of blueberries, bananas, flaxseed, low fat milk, almonds, and a protein powder then he eats lots of fruit and granola bars through out the day then we eat a light dinner lots of steam veggies and fish or chicken. we have made it 1 month so far with no attacks, so i am hoping this diet thing is his ticket to stay out of the hospital. They also told him when he feels it coming on to "NOT" eat anything for like 12 hrs. that is the worse thing you can do is eat when your pancreas is starting to flare up. so i guess we will continue on and see what happens.

I hope the diet change will help control the attacks. We also eat protein shakes at our house. I love peaches (frozen, fresh or home canned) in mine.

I am afraid we are just not that healthy of eaters. Maybe we should take Richards example and eat better.
